TITLE : COOLING SYSTEM OF ENGINE

ABSTRACT : PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the piping with a radiator, compactly mount a

water pump on a cylinder head, further suppress the length of a cylinder axial direction of
an engine and easily secure the driving source of the water pump, by mounting the water
pump on the cylinder head.

SOLUTION: This cooling system is constituted to cool an engine 7 by circulating cooling
water via a radiator and a water pump 17. In this case, a pump driving gear 38 provided
on the end part of a cam shaft of either one of an intake side cam shaft 31 provided on the
cylinder head 12 of the engine 7 and an exhaust side cam shaft 32 and a pump gear 30
provided on pump shaft 25 of the water pump arranged between both of the cam shafts
and on the lower parts of them are made to be engaged with each other.
